The Europe we want. The Europe we need.
If we look to Europe, we see more than 22 million young opportunities there. Young people are facing unfair structures, unemployment and a lack of prospects in many areas. Yet one thing many of them do not lack is a vision for a fairer Europe. These young people take responsibility not only for themselves but for others, too.
In our role as a Polish-German youth organisation, at the European expert programme we will discuss with participants how young people from a range of backgrounds can contribute towards more cohesion and solidarity among young people. Our discussions will take into account the varied circumstances, cultures and customs involved. The aim is to show participants that young people have a role to play and to highlight the strong sense of solidarity felt between young people across Europe.
After two keynote presentations from the two countries, participants will split up into smaller groups to work in greater depth on the focus topics shared values, forms of action, and youth work structures. Afterwards, a set of recommendations will be drawn up setting out how the child and youth welfare community and policymakers can support young people.
